Terms of Service
TravelP2P works because contributors tell the truth about what they paid. These are the rules that keep the ledger honest — plain language, no traps.

Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using TravelP2P you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. You must be at least 16 years old to hold an account.
What TravelP2P is — and is not
TravelP2P is an editorial archive of peer-submitted travel budgets. We publish what other travellers say they paid, after checking their evidence. We are not a travel agency, tour operator, airline, insurer or booking platform. We do not sell flights or accommodation, do not hold your money, and are not party to any booking you make elsewhere.
Prices, routes, visa notes and health requirements shown on the site are historical or informational. They change constantly. Always confirm entry, health and fare conditions with the airline, insurer and the official authority for your destination before you travel.
Accounts and email verification
You need an account to submit trips, comment or save deals. You must give a valid email address, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. One person, one account — no bots, no bulk registrations.
Verification is mandatory. We send a confirmation link at sign-up. Until you click it, your account is read-only: you can browse the feed, but you cannot submit, comment or save. Accounts that are not verified within 7 days of sign-up are deleted.
The 7-day trial
Once verified, your account begins a 7-day trial with full contributor access. The trial starts the moment you confirm your email and runs for seven consecutive days.
- No payment details are required to start it, and it does not convert into a paid plan automatically.
- You keep read access to the public feed after the trial ends; contributor features may require a plan we will describe before you subscribe.
- Anything you submitted or saved during the trial remains yours and stays in your account.
- One trial per person. Creating additional accounts to restart it is a breach of these Terms.
Submitting a trip
When you submit a trip you confirm that:
- You actually took the trip and the figures are what you genuinely paid, in the currency stated.
- You can support the total with a bank line, booking confirmation or receipt if we ask.
- You have redacted names, passport numbers, booking references and card details before sending anything.
- You own or are licensed to use any image you upload, and it contains no identifiable third parties who have not consented.
- Your warnings and wisdom are honest first-hand experience — not copied reviews or promotional copy.
Every submission is reviewed manually. We may approve, edit for clarity, request more evidence, or reject it, at our discretion. Approval is not an endorsement or a guarantee that the price is still available.
Your content and the licence you give us
You keep ownership of everything you submit. You grant TravelP2P a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt for formatting and promote your published trips, comments and images on the platform and in related social posts. This licence ends for unpublished content when you delete it, and for published trips as described in the deletion section of our Privacy Policy.
Prohibited behaviour
- Fabricating, inflating or deflating prices, or submitting trips you did not take.
- Undisclosed promotional or sponsored content, or affiliate links inserted into submissions or comments.
- Harassment, hate speech, doxxing or posting anyone else’s personal data.
- Scraping, automated bulk access, or reselling our data without written permission.
- Attempting to bypass moderation, rate limits, verification, or our access controls.
Affiliate links and how we make money
TravelP2P is partly funded by affiliate commissions. Some outbound links — including to providers such as Revolut and Allianz, and to booking, eSIM and insurance partners — pay us a commission if you sign up or purchase. You never pay more because you used our link.
Commercial relationships have no influence on moderation or ranking. We do not accept payment to approve a trip, place it higher in the feed, or feature a destination. Partner products are third-party services: your contract is with them, and we are not responsible for their pricing, coverage or support.
Moderation, suspension and deletion
We may remove content or suspend an account that breaches these Terms, usually with notice and an opportunity to respond — immediately where there is fraud, abuse or a legal risk. You can close your account at any time from your account area; deletion is handled as set out in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers and liability
The platform is provided “as is”. We verify submissions in good faith but cannot guarantee that a price is repeatable, that a route still operates, or that entry and health information is current. To the fullest extent permitted by law, TravelP2P is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, missed flights, denied boarding or entry, or losses arising from third-party partners. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Changes and governing law
We may update these Terms; material changes will be announced by email to signed-in contributors and the date above will change. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the update. These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
This page is maintained by the TravelP2P team and describes our current practices. It is a plain-language policy document, not legal advice or an independent certification. Questions? Use the contact route in your account area and we will respond.
